Holding the Ad and PR Industry to Account for their Work with Fossil Fuel Clients
For decades, the Advertising and PR industry has been responsible for spreading disinformation on behalf of the world’s largest fossil fuel companies. Clean Creatives exists to expose the damage and hold companies accountable for their role in global warming.
Over the years, we've built key relationships with trade and climate media across the globe for Clean Creatives, and our relationship has developed into becoming a core function of the team. We’ve provided media strategy and communications plans, and represented the campaign group as an ambassador at industry speaking events.
Our efforts have so far led 1,500+ agencies to refuse fossil fuel contracts, and we've earned widespread global media coverage in publications such as the Financial Times, Washington Post, Guardian, PR Week, Ad Week, Campaign, The Drum, and many more.
Subsequently, we have made Clean Creatives a shorthand for anti-fossil fuel campaigning within the advertising and PR industry. We've also covered global events such as the Cannes Lions Advertising Festival and SXSW, liaised with the UN Secretary-General António Guterres’ team on a speech calling out the industry's role in the climate crisis, released whitepapers, secured several op-eds, and more.
